Can you travel to Tinos by plane?

The closest airports that serve flights to and from overseas are Athens International Airport (AIA) and the Airport of Mykonos.

If you choose the AIA, after landing you should head to the port of Piraeus or to the port of Rafina.

 

ATHENS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – PIRAEUS PORT CONNECTION

    Use Metro line 3 from the Athens International Airport and change at Monastiraki to Metro line 1. Estimated journey time is 60 minutes.

  • By Regional Bus Service (KTEL)
    Take the direct Regional Bus Service (KTEL) to the port of Rafina. The line departs from the Arrivals Level, opposite the airport hotel (Sofitel).

From Piraeus you can reach Tinos either by ferry (journey time 4.5 hours) or super-ferry (journey time 3 hours).

MYKONOS – TINOS
If you choose Mykonos Airport for your arrival in Greece, you should after landing head to Mykonos port either by bus or taxi. Rates for  taxi are low because of the short distance. The port of Mykonos is connected to the port of Tinos via ferry (journey time 30 minutes) and flying-ferry (journey time 15 minutes).
