Tinos is a Greek island situated in the Aegean Sea. It is the third largest island of Cyclades group and closest islands are Andros, Delos, and Mykonos. It has a land area of approximately 194 square kilometres and a coast line of 114 km.
Tinos is a mountainous island with small plains, numerous beaches and intense changes of scenery. “Tsiknias” is the tallest mountain with 726m height.
All these things consist of an ongoing challenge to discover the unknown aspects of the island with the beautiful landscapes, the amazing sceneries, the gastronomical pleasures and last but not least the friendly local people with a smile on their faces.
The capital of the island is “Tinos or Chora” with 4.494 inhabitants and a total population of 9.523, who live in the approximately 45 villages. You can get here by one of many ships that sail daily from Piraeus and Rafina ports. There are also connections with the rest of the Cyclades. For emergencies and fast transportation there is also a Helidrome. Closest airports are Mykonos (30mins), and Eleftherios Venizelos (15mins from the port of Rafina).
